The Engineering Excellence Awards 2010 recognise the expertise of individuals and engineering organisations. They also raise the professional standing of engineers in the community by generating a greater public awareness of who engineers are and what they do.

Once again, we surpassed our previous record number of Level 1 entries into Sydney Division’s Excellence Awards in receiving a total of 97 entries in 2009. The diversity and calibre of these entries continues to present a challenging but rewarding task for our Judges.

Four of our Engineering Excellence Awards 2009 winners went on to take out major National Awards. The Powerhouse Museum has six of our 2009 award winning projects now on display. This display will be seen by over a half a million Museum visitors throughout the year.

I encourage you to place a Level 1 entry into this years’ awards program to gain recognition for your organisation and the engineering profession.
