The Engineering Excellence Awards recognise the expertise of individuals and engineering organisations. They help achieve the goal of raising the professional standing of engineers by generating a greater public awareness of who engineers are and what they do.
In 2008 a total of 89 entries were placed in Level 1, the highest number of entries ever received into Sydney Division’s Excellence Awards. With 2009 being the 90th Anniversary of Engineers Australia perhaps the bar can be raised a little higher to achieve 90 entries in the 90th year.
Four 2008 Excellence Awards winners went on to take out major National Awards.
Six Award winning projects are now on display at the Powerhouse Museum. This display will be seen by over a half a million Museum visitors throughout the year.
I encourage you to place an entry into this years Awards program to gain recognition for your organisation and the engineering profession.
